büro für leichtbau – Tritthardt + Richter (bfl) is a specialist engineering consultancy focusing on architectural lightweight structures, membrane structures and textile architecture, as well as sculptural structures, exhibition structures and temporary buildings.

We develop, design and engineer complex membrane structures, tensile membrane roofs, textile façades, ETFE structures, cable-supported structures and special structures. Where required, our work also includes steel, aluminium, concrete and timber structures, as well as structures made from other materials.

Our engineering services cover the entire process, from conceptual and structural design, numerical form-finding and structural analysis to static and dynamic calculations, detailed engineering, construction drawings, workshop drawings and membrane cutting patterns.

We collaborate with architects, clients, specialist consultants, artists and contractors to develop and realise technically demanding, innovative and efficient lightweight structures and membrane architecture.
